Our client, based in Grantham, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a hands-on warehouse role that would suit someone with previous warehouse experience who is confident working in a busy environment and is comfortable with a significant amount of manual handling.
Your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading goods
- Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
- Operating a counterbalance forklift
- Carrying out general warehouse duties
- Completing a significant amount of manual handling
- Ensuring goods are stored and handled safely
- Assisting with deliveries and collections when required
- Potentially driving the company van to Newark and back, so a full driving licence is essential
The role operates on a rotating weekly shift pattern:
- Week 1: 6:00am – 3:30pm
- Week 2: 10:30am – 8:00pm
Monday to Friday
About You
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Previous warehouse experience
- An in-date, accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- A full, valid driving licence
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
- The ability to undertake regular and heavy manual handling
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
