We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a vehicle loader to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work and wants to be part of a team responsible for getting clean laundry safely loaded and ready for the following day's deliveries.
Immediate start!
Hours: 15:30 – 01:00, Monday to Friday
Working as part of the Transport team, your main responsibility will be to ensure processed laundry is correctly and safely loaded onto vehicles ready for the next day's delivery routes.
Your duties will include:
- Loading 3.5t vans, 7.5t, 12t and 18t vehicles with clean, processed laundry
- Checking stock against daily worksheets for each delivery route
- Ensuring vehicles are loaded safely, correctly and in delivery order
- Working efficiently as part of a busy Transport team
- Working independently when required
- Keeping the loading area clean, tidy and safe
- Following all company procedures and Health & Safety requirements
- Covering delivery routes when required following full training
What We're Looking For
- Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL
- Good level of physical fitness – this is a manual and physically demanding role
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Flexible with working hours and able to work additional hours when required
- Previous van driving, laundry, warehouse, loading or transport experience is beneficial but not essential
