An established and growing transport and logistics business is seeking a Transport Manager to lead operations across multiple transport divisions. Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage transport teams across multiple divisions, including planners, drivers, and operational staff.
- Foster a positive and high-performing culture built around teamwork, communication, and accountability.
- Develop and implement personal development plans (PDPs) and conduct regular 1:1s to support team growth.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of transport operations, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Take ownership of route planning, vehicle utilisation, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with all transport legislation and company policies.
- Work closely with operations and planning teams to deliver outstanding service to customers across the UK and Europe.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, communication, and overall performance across the transport function.
- CPC qualification (essential).
- Proven experience in transport management within general haulage, tanker operations, or pallet network environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills — able to motivate and unify teams across multiple sites.
- In-depth knowledge of transport compliance, driver hours, and fleet management.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
