We are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives for a local company that specialises in the recycling of white goods– including fridges, washing machines, cookers, and other large household appliances. This is a hands‑on role that involves regular heavy lifting, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable handling bulky items throughout the day.
Shifts: Night Shift: 10pm-6am Monday to Friday with every third Saturday
Key Duties:
- Loading and unloading white goods such as fridges, freezers, and washing machines
- Moving heavy appliances by hand and using handling equipment where provided
- Stripping down items for recycling components and materials
- Sorting and segregating materials for appropriate recycling streams
- Keeping the site clean and following all health & safety guidelines
- Working as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting
- Experience with manual handling or working in a recycling/warehouse environment preferred
- Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
