We are seeking an experienced Finance Operations professional to join a team underwriting asset finance proposals, including large-scale leases and commercial credit for dealers and clients. This hands-on role offers the chance to work with complex credit lines, make impactful financial decisions, and support business growth. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that manages moderately complex to high-value credit applications — ranging from £80,000 to over £100 million — and plays a key role in supporting dealers, sales teams, and clients through the finance process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and approve/decline asset finance proposals, analysing financial statements, cash flow, balance sheets, and supporting documentation.
- Manage credit lines and portfolio risk, including personal guarantees and corporate accounts.
- Liaise with dealers and Area Sales Managers, providing guidance, clarifying queries, and building strong relationships.
- Oversee the workflow from point of sale to onboarding, including collaboration with internal teams and international risk functions.
- Mentor and support other team members, sharing expertise in credit assessment and operational finance.
- Participate in process improvements, helping to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in asset finance, commercial lending, fleet finance, or corporate credit underwriting.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Comfortable working with large credit lines, leases, and complex financial structures.
- Experience with financial systems (ERP, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent communication skills to interact with dealers, clients, and colleagues across the business.
