Our client, a leading international manufacturing business, is looking to recruit a Utility Operator to join their successful operation in Tallington.

The Role

Working the afternoon shift (2pm–10pm) and reporting to the Dispatch Working Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products move efficiently throughout the production process.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for supporting production and dispatch operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general Forklift Truck (FLT) duties across the site.
  • Pick and kit materials for production works orders.
  • Complete stock checks and inventory counts.
  • Safely move raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Load and unload HGV vehicles.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Support the wider warehouse and production teams with day-to-day operational activities.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have

  • A valid, up-to-date Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or yard environment.
  • Experience loading and unloading HGV vehicles.
  • Order kitting experience.
  • Good general forklift operating experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices.
  • A reliable, flexible approach and the ability to work well within a team.
