Our client, a leading international manufacturing business, is looking to recruit a Dispatch Working Team Leader to join their busy operation in Tallington.

The Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the dispatch yard.
You'll lead a small team while remaining hands-on, ensuring customer orders are picked, loaded and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the dispatch and yard team to achieve daily operational targets.
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures.
- Oversee accurate picking, stock control and efficient vehicle loading.
- Manage goods-in processes during your shift.
- Allocate workloads and ensure accurate job bookings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Coach, train and support team members to maximise performance.
- Maintain accurate stock and training records.
- Work closely with production and planning teams to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Assist with stock counts and year-end inventory.
- Provide cover for other shift leaders when required.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have
- A valid, up-to-date Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Previous experience within a warehouse, dispatch or yard environment.
- Experience loading and unloading HGV vehicles.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, or the confidence to step into a leadership role.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with a strong commitment to health and safety.
