We are seeking an experienced and qualified Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our established Conveyancing Department in Shirebrook. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional with at least 4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to take on a senior role within a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will manage their own residential conveyancing caseload while also providing supervision and support to administrative staff. This role offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibility, including deputising for the department manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
- Handle a variety of property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build matters.
- Provide excellent client care and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
- Supervise and support conveyancing administrative staff.
- Sign off files and oversee workflow in the absence of the department manager.
- Respond to staff queries and provide guidance where required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures.
- Maintain accurate case records and meet departmental performance targets.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), or equivalent qualified fee earner.
- Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience within residential conveyancing.
- Ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures.
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service.
