Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Key Details * Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience) * Location: Newark – 4 days office / 1 day WFH * Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week, 1-hour lunch) Benefits * Band F car allowance: £350/month * Annual bonus (up to 15% of basic salary) * 26 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (increases with service) * Simply health Level 1 medical cash plan * Life assurance (2x salary) * 4% employer pension contribution * Supportive team culture with real career progression opportunities About the Role As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role supporting the commercial team on a variety of construction projects. Your day-to-day will involve: * Managing project costs and budgets * Contract administration and document management * Assisting with subcontractor packages and valuations * Working closely with site and project managers to ensure cost-effective project delivery * Contributing to project reporting and forecasting You’ll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your input will be valued, and your skills will continue to grow. What We’re Looking For * Some experience in a Quantity Surveying role * Ideally degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline * Good knowledge of construction contracts and cost control principles * A proactive, detail-focused mindset and strong organisational skills * Strong communication and a team-first attitude
