We are recruiting for an experienced Temporary Finance Assistant / Management Accountant support to join a growing SME based in Newark. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy finance function within a £6m turnover business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and can confidently support a finance team during a busy period.
The Role
- Preparing and posting journals
- Managing accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with month-end reporting and management accounts
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records within the accounting system
- Assisting with general finance administration as required
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks during month-end close
About You
- Experienced in management accounting or finance assistant roles
- Confident handling journals, accruals and prepayments
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
- Strong with Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Sage 50 or similar)
- Able to work independently and hit the ground running
