We are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives for a local company that specialises in the recycling of white goods – including fridges, washing machines, cookers, and other large household appliances. This is a hands-on role that involves regular heavy lifting, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable handling bulky items throughout the day.

Shifts available:

  • Morning shifts: 6am-2pm Monday to Friday, with every 4th Saturday
  • Afternoon shifts: 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday with every 4th Saturday
  • Night shift: 10pm-6am Monday to Friday with every 4th Saturday

Key Duties

  • Loading and unloading white goods such as fridges, freezers, and washing machines
  • Moving heavy appliances by hand and using handling equipment where provided
  • Stripping down items for recycling components and materials
  • Sorting and segregating materials for appropriate recycling streams
  • Keeping the site clean and following all health & safety guidelines
  • Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting
  • Experience with manual handling or working in a recycling/warehouse environment preferred
  • Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential
