Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to work on the outskirts of Newark, must have own transport due to location. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity within a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Standard shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Training period (first 2 weeks approx.): 6:00am – 2:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently manage the dispatch of goods from site
- Load and unload vehicles in line with operational requirements
- Operate shunter vehicles to move trailers within the yard
- Use FLT counterbalance to handle materials and products
- Ensure all dispatch documentation is completed accurately
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Work collaboratively with the operations and planning teams
Requirements
- Valid Shunter licence and proven experience
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
- Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse, or logistics environment preferred
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Additional Information
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential for a permanent role following a successful probation period. Candidates must provide valid certification for shunter and FLT licences upon application.
This role would suit someone with a shunter driver licence, FLT Counterbalance, warehouse, logistics, health and safety and meeting deadlines.
