Ambition24Locums is currently recruiting for an SHO Doctor in Cardiology for the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH).

Location: Northern Ireland

Contract Dates: 1st June 2026 – 4th August 2026

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months NHS experience
  • At least 4 months’ experience in Cardiology
  • Active GMC Registration
  • Candidates must meet Northern Ireland Regional Framework compliance requirements

Please note:

  • Clinical attachments and observerships are NOT accepted as clinical experience
  • Access NI clearance is mandatory (DBS alone is not sufficient for Northern Ireland)

Required Compliance Documentation:

  • Updated CV with explanations for any employment/training gaps
  • Passport / Photographic ID
  • Two recent clinical references relevant to specialty and grade
  • Proof of Right to Work
  • Medical Degree Certificate
  • ALS/ILS Certificate (accredited provider)
  • Fit to Work Certificate
  • Anti-Coagulant Certificate
  • Deprivation of Liberty Mental Capacity Act 2005 (Level 3 & 4a)
  • Hyponatraemia Certificate
  • Infection Control Certificate
  • Right Patient Right Blood (RPRB)
  • LBT Blood Components
  • LBT Safe Transfusion
  • LBT Consent for Transfusion

Candidates with completed transfusion competencies and up-to-date haemovigilance training will be highly advantageous.
