We are partnering with a leading technology-focused hedge fund to hire a Technical Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who has moved into project management from an infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps background and enjoys delivering complex technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of technology projects across software engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and platform teams.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Drive project governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to align delivery with business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks while maintaining delivery quality and operational stability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience, including several years as a Technical Project Manager.
- Previous hands-on experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, infrastructure environments, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices.
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience within Financial Services, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, FinTech, or other highly technical environments is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Strong Linux knowledge, including experience working directly on Linux environments.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of infrastructure, networking, security, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly technical environments.
- Strong technical foundation, enabling effective communication with engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
