An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Cashier (Accounts Payable) to join a well-established and growing Finance team within a highly regarded UK law firm. This role is based in central Bristol with hybrid working available and offers the chance to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance function.
The Role
You will play a key role in the Legal Cashiering function with a focus on the Accounts Payable, ensuring that all external costs are processed accurately, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Working as part of a supportive team, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices (UK & international), disbursements, expenses, and travel costs
- Maintaining accurate Accounts Payable ledgers and ensuring compliance with SRA rules and accounting standards
- Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms
- Managing supplier records and ensuring accurate setup within finance systems
- Investigating and resolving supplier and internal queries in a timely manner
- Monitoring outstanding balances and proactively supporting resolution
- Providing administrative and ad hoc support across the wider Finance team
About You
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional with experience in the legal sector. Key requirements include:
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier / Accounts Payable role within a law firm
- Strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and VAT compliance
