A leading international professional services firm is seeking an experienced Sector Programme Lead to shape and deliver growth strategies across key industry sectors. Working closely with senior leadership, this role will drive sector strategy, strengthen client relationships, develop business development campaigns, and raise the firm's market profile. The successful candidate will identify growth opportunities, lead thought leadership initiatives, support key client programmes, manage bids and pitches, and collaborate with international teams to deliver commercial objectives. The role also involves market research and horizon scanning, cross-selling initiatives, stakeholder engagement, budget management, and developing the business development capabilities of lawyers through coaching and training.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sector strategy and growth initiatives across key industry sectors
  • Strengthen client relationships and develop business development campaigns
  • Raise the firm’s market profile and lead thought leadership initiatives
  • Support key client programmes, manage bids and pitches
  • Collaborate with international teams to deliver commercial objectives
  • Conduct market research and horizon scanning
  • Lead cross-selling initiatives and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage budgets and develop the business development capabilities of lawyers through coaching and training

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education
  • At least five years' business development experience within a professional services environment
  • Strong sector-focused business development and client relationship management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Proven experience delivering strategic marketing and BD campaigns
  • Strong project management, communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, CRM systems and social media
  • A collaborative, commercially minded approach with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
