Our client, a leading Big 4 Firm, is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Manager (Costing) to join a growing Innovation Incentives team.

Working across a diverse client base, you will lead the financial analysis and claim quantification aspects of R&D tax engagements, helping businesses maximise available incentives while ensuring claims are robust and compliant.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the costing and financial analysis components of R&D tax claims
  • Review financial data and identify qualifying expenditure
  • Develop and review claim methodologies and calculations
  • Work closely with Finance Directors, CFOs and technical stakeholders
  • Support HMRC enquiries and information requests
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching
  • Manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously
  • Support business development and growth initiatives

Requirements

You will ideally hold a relevant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA .

  • Experience in R&D tax, corporate tax, audit or financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with financial data
  • Understanding of UK R&D tax legislation and claim methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
  • Experience developing and reviewing the work of junior colleagues
