A leading UK professional services firm is seeking a PR & Communications Executive to join its Marketing & Business Development team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional to help raise the firm's profile through proactive media relations, content creation, social media and strategic communications activity. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support the delivery of PR campaigns, identify media opportunities, manage journalist relationships and contribute to the firm's external communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor business, financial and industry news to identify profile-raising opportunities.
- Develop and execute proactive media campaigns.
- Draft press releases, media pitches, articles and other communications materials.
- Manage media enquiries and support day-to-day press office activities.
- Build relationships with journalists, editors and key media contacts.
- Coordinate interviews, prepare briefing materials and support media engagements.
- Create and publish social media content.
- Support awards submissions and wider communications projects.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI tools to improve team efficiency.
About You
- Previous experience in PR, communications, corporate affairs or media relations, ideally within professional services, financial services or a similarly complex environment.
- Strong interest in business and financial news.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience with media databases, monitoring tools and digital communications platforms is desirable.
- Able to work confidently with sensitive and complex subject matter.
