A leading UK advisory firm is seeking an experienced Business Advisory Manager to join its growing team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with distressed and underperforming businesses, supporting owners and directors through HMRC engagement, cash‑flow solutions, and wider financial restructuring.

The role sits within a specialist advisory team with a strong track record of supporting businesses facing financial challenges, particularly those with VAT, PAYE, and National Insurance arrears. You will work closely with internal restructuring, funding, legal, and business services teams, gaining exposure to complex, commercially focused assignments while helping businesses stabilise and recover.

  • Strong ability to prepare cash‑flow forecasts, P&Ls, and financial models
  • Confidence dealing directly with business owners, directors, and HMRC
  • Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, with strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple cases
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
