An international law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its expanding Finance team. The finance function plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s strategy and operations across multiple jurisdictions and is regarded as a core part of the business rather than a traditional support service.

Key Responsibilities- Provide a high‑quality legal cashiering service and be responsive to the evolving needs of a busy international practice.
- Manage the allocation and posting of client monies received through online banking systems.
- Process client‑to‑client transfers accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate, reconcile, and allocate funds received in settlement of bills.
- Execute payments from client accounts via online banking platforms and cheque transactions.
- Take client card payments and process them securely through online payment terminals.
- Calculate client account interest, using both automated systems and manual methods where required.
- Handle foreign currency transactions and related banking processes.
- Act as a first point of contact for ad hoc cashiering queries from partners, associates, and support teams.
- Liaise with banking institutions to resolve operational and transactional queries.
- Open, close, and maintain joint accounts in accordance with procedures.
- Oversee cashiering transactions for international offices alongside London operations.
You will work as part of a wider cashiering team and will be supervised day‑to‑day by the Cashiers Team Leader.
Experience- Proven legal cashiering experience within a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Excellent IT skills; experience with legal finance systems such as CMS, Aderant, or Elite is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail.
