An amazing US law firm is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant who is moving from Practice into a law firm. They have a very close-knit finance team where they really look after their staff. They are seeking a highly skilled individual to take ownership of statutory financial reporting and compliance across multiple entities.
Responsibilities in this Financial Accountant position:
- Preparing and overseeing statutory accounts for LLPs, property companies, and dormant subsidiaries.
- Managing corporate tax computations and VAT returns.
- Leading statutory audit processes and liaising with professional advisors.
- Monitoring regulatory, financial, and tax changes that impact the business.
- Driving improvements in systems and processes, including adopting AI solutions where applicable.
- Supporting ad hoc projects and reporting requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 4+ years PQE, ideally from a Practice background.
- Deep and current knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, including upcoming changes (e.g., IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 adoption) and LLP SORP.
- Recent experience preparing financial statements under UK GAAP.
- Strong technical expertise combined with excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Aware of SRA client account rules is advantageous.
