Are you an experienced communications professional with a strong track record in professional services or legal sector PR? This is a compelling opportunity to join a leading global law firm in London as a Communications Manager, playing a pivotal role in shaping the firm's media profile and reputation across its key practices and markets. Reporting to the Head of Communications UK & EMEA, you'll focus on driving profile, reputation and communications for the firm's leading practices. This is a permanent position offering real influence over how a world-class organisation presents itself to the media and to the market at large.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and owning the PR strategy, devising and implementing PR plans that connect to the firm's wider business strategy, and setting clear targets and metrics to measure media performance and impact.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with business and trade press, supporting individual practice teams and partners, and preparing briefing materials ahead of journalist interviews and meetings.
- Proactively identifying news angles, comment opportunities, and topical hooks that can raise the firm's profile across relevant sectors and themes.
- Drafting and distributing press releases, arranging journalist meetings, placing bylined articles, and editing content where required.
- Contributing to and overseeing the production of marketing communications materials in support of wider PR activity.
- Producing regular reports on PR activity for key stakeholders, including 6-monthly updates for relevant practice teams and weekly news round-ups for senior management.
- Identifying appropriate speaking opportunities and other targeted activities to support strategic PR objectives.
- Driving social media activity in support of external press engagement and ensuring outbound press efforts are amplified through relevant social channels.
- Providing expert PR input into global practice group, sector, and strategic marketing plans and supporting the tactical delivery of related PR activity.

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' PR experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver quality work within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrable experience managing content development for thought leadership campaigns.
