Ambition is delighted to be partnered with an exceptional global law firm in its search for a Client Rates Coordinator to join their London office. The role reports to the Client Rates Manager and is an excellent opportunity for someone with exposure to legal rates who is looking to specialise.
Main responsibilities:
- Adhere to agreed best practices, policies, and processes, adapting to local requirements where necessary
- Maintain and update client rates in the firm’s financial systems, including Elite 3E
- Provide administrative support to upload and maintain rates in Elite 3E, ensuring accurate billing in line with commercial terms and outside counsel guidelines
- Monitor rate changes and apply discounts or adjustments in line with client agreements
- Ensure compliance with agreed engagement terms and pricing arrangements
- Provide local finance teams with up-to-date rate information
- Act as a key point of contact for rate related queries from partners and finance teams
- Collaborate with Billing and E Billing teams to ensure accurate and timely rate updates
- Assist the Client Rates Manager with ad hoc requests
- Attend regular billing team meetings to discuss issues and identify solutions
- Support system enhancements and participate in testing new and existing functionalities
- Deliver a high-quality service by ensuring team processes and objectives align with business needs
Experience needed for the role:
- Experience in legal rates, either in a pure rates position or within a role that has a large element of rates uploading.
- Experience in legal finance.
- Elite 3e experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
