We are working with a truly lovely law firm on an exciting opportunity within their Private Client division. Known for its warm, collaborative culture and genuine appreciation for BD professionals, this is a role where you will be supported, trusted, and empowered to make a real impact.
As Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering BD and marketing initiatives across the Private Client division. You will work closely with partners, fee earners, and a supportive BD team to drive strategic plans, build key relationships, and ensure the division's successes are celebrated and shared.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading on intermediary relationship management and strategy
- Supporting the implementation of the division's strategic business plan
- Tracking and reporting on key wins, new instructions, and client developments
- Driving targeted relationship initiatives and pipeline development
- Leading pitch processes and advising on RFPs, credentials, and client materials
- Managing digital communications, newsletters, and legal updates
- Coordinating events, webinars, and client hospitality with the wider team
- Supporting legal directory and award submissions
- Maintaining and improving CRM data (InterAction) and BD systems
- Conducting market and client research to support BD initiatives
- Collaborating on firm-wide BD projects and contributing to broader strategy
What's needed:
- Proven BD experience in a legal or professional services environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Organised, proactive, and confident working to deadlines
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in Private Client work
- CRM knowledge (InterAction preferred) and digital marketing awareness
