The Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished senior leader to head a well-established Financial Services division of this prestigious membership body, driving strategy, thought leadership, member engagement and commercial growth across one of the UK's most influential professional communities.
This is a unique opportunity to combine deep financial services expertise with stakeholder influence, policy development, commercial leadership and team management. You will play a central role in shaping industry debate, responding to regulatory developments and delivering valuable insights and support to senior professionals across banking, insurance, investment management and related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Define and deliver the strategic direction of the Financial Services division.
- Lead the development of industry-leading thought leadership, technical content and policy positions.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with regulators, government bodies, industry leaders and professional firms.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, speaking engagements and stakeholder forums.
- Drive commercial performance, membership growth, engagement and retention.
- Lead and develop a high-performing specialist team.
- Influence responses to emerging regulatory, technological and market developments impacting financial services.
About You
You will be an ACA-qualified leader, or equivalent, with significant experience gained within financial services, professional services, regulation or a related environment.
You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of banking, insurance, investment management or broader financial services markets.
- Experience developing thought leadership, technical guidance or market insight.
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for developing teams and delivering strategic objectives.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets or commercial performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the credibility to engage at senior industry level.
