Our client is a top 10 accountancy firm, and they are seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their Guildford team. In this role, you'll take ownership of assurance engagements, lead on-site fieldwork, and serve as a trusted contact for a varied and interesting client portfolio. You will work across a broad range of sectors including life sciences, technology, retail, manufacturing, financial services and more. What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring work is carried out in line with relevant professional standards
- Leading the on-site element of assurance assignments, providing direction and practical support to the wider team throughout the engagement
- Supporting, coaching, and developing junior colleagues, helping to build confidence and capability across the team
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients during assignments, maintaining strong relationships and consistently delivering a high standard of service
- Proactively identifying and addressing audit issues as they arise, and contributing to ongoing improvements in efficiency and working practices
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
- Must have at least three years experience working in audit in the UK
- Right to work as sponsorship cannot be provided
- A demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality assurance output
