A Top 20 Accountancy Practice is seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute VAT Senior Manager to join their dynamic Indirect Tax team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise in VAT and a proven track record of advising clients across a range of sectors. You will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic VAT solutions, managing complex projects, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage VAT advisory projects for a diverse portfolio of clients, including multinational corporations, SMEs, and public sector entities.
- Provide expert guidance on UK and EU VAT legislation, compliance, and planning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on indirect tax matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams across tax, legal, and finance to deliver integrated solutions.
- Review and sign off technical VAT reports, risk assessments, and client communications.
- Support business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client pitches.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Requirements
- ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience in VAT.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations.
