We are working with a growing accountancy firm based in the Southend area that is looking to hire an Audit Senior or experienced Audit SemiâSenior as a result of continued growth within its external audit practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the final year of their training contract who is ready to take on increased responsibility within a rapidly expanding team that offers genuine longâterm progression.
The Role
- External audit role working with a varied portfolio of SME and OMB clients
- Leading audits from planning through to completion
- Managing multiple audit engagements across the year (typically 10+ clients)
- Acting as the main point of contact onâsite for clients
- Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and audit files
- Working closely with audit managers and partners on larger, more complex audits
You will gain exposure to larger clients with revenues exceeding ÂŁ100m, alongside a broad mix of growing businesses.
Candidate Profile
- ACA or ACCA trainee in the final year of a training contract
- Proven experience leading audits from planning to completion
- Experience working with SMEs and ownerâmanaged businesses
- Comfortable working with multiple clients throughout the year
- Experience using CaseWare and Inflo would be highly beneficial
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- Must have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship cannot be provided)
