An international law firm with a major global presence is expanding its client programme and is looking for a talented Client Relationship Manager to shape and lead a newly designed broker initiative. This role is ideal for someone who understands the insurance market and thrives on building strategic, senior-level relationships. It blends global client account management with a strong broker-focused remit — offering visibility, influence and the chance to genuinely make an impact.
You’ll take ownership of a new global broker programme, working closely with an engaged lead partner, a well-connected Client Relationship Director, and colleagues across the global BD and Client Account Management teams. Alongside the broker programme, you will also manage several clients within the firm’s wider Global Client Programme. You’ll play a key part in embedding the programme internationally, improving coordination, gathering insight, and ensuring the firm maintains strong and productive relationships with both brokers and clients.
Key responsibilities:- Lead the global Client Account Management on the new broker initiative, ensuring it becomes fully embedded across regions.
- Build relationships with senior broker and client contacts, including claims, legal, procurement and C-suite stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver global client and broker plans with clear commercial and strategic objectives.
- Create and maintain relationship maps, account plans and market intelligence.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and support cross-selling across jurisdictions and practice areas.
- Support partners in broadening their networks and deepening relationships using market insight and thought leadership.
- Monitor pipeline activity, identify at-risk work and support planning to protect and grow revenue.
- Provide insights for pitches and support consistent global delivery on client and broker opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market, ideally including broker relationships.
- Client Account Management / Relationship experience within a professional services environment – such as Legal or Insurance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple workstreams.
