One of my top law firm clients are looking for a Senior Partner Matters Accountant to join their Finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of accounting related to partners' financial involvement in the firm. You will oversee journal postings, maintain reconciliations, and support key financial processes including partner compensation, capital calculations, and foreign exchange impacts. The great thing about this opportunity is that they would also consider an experienced accountant who hasn't had exposure to Partnership Accounts, but really wants to move into this space.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting for partner compensation and reconcile partner accounts in the general ledger (3E).
- Standardise accounting policies and prepare comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with the Partner Matters Manager on process and system improvements.
- Maintain accurate partner capital records and databases.
- Support the annual partner compensation and bonus process.
- Understand and mitigate foreign exchange impacts in accounting.
- Liaise with overseas Finance Managers regarding partner records.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit.
Additional duties include:
- Partnering with the Partner Matters Accountant and responding to queries.
- Providing compensation data for tax and statutory reporting.
- Reconciling historic tax reserve accounts.
