We have partnered with one of our long standing, global law firm clients in the hire of a Pricing & Commercial Manager to join their large, established Pricing team. As the Pricing & Commercial Manager you will act as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior stakeholders, driving commercial returns across a global network. This role combines strategic pricing expertise with commercial insight to influence outcomes and deliver value for the business. You will lead a few Senior Analysts / Analysts within the team, providing leadership, guidance, and development to ensure high-quality analysis and commercial support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic clients from a commercial perspective, advising on value-add options and leading financial elements of client pitches.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions using commercial insight and prior engagement knowledge.
- Contribute to pricing best practices, including building and maintaining pricing templates and models, and driving consistency across the network.
- Identify actionable commercial insights to improve returns and lead projects to optimise benefits.
- Take a big-picture approach to cross-functional projects, considering firm-wide impacts and interdependencies.
- Drive operational and systems improvements within the team, implementing and measuring success.
- Lead and develop a small team across multiple locations, ensuring effective workload management, mentoring, and skills development.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a pricing professional (B2B essential; professional services preferred).
- Experience in a proactive, commercially focused role, identifying opportunities and driving results.
- Qualified Accountant (beneficial but not essential).
- Experience managing and developing people.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of economic factors impacting professional services.
- Ability to influence at the highest level as a credible, collaborative, and commercially minded individual.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex issues to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Results-driven, adaptable, and highly organised with strong time management skills.
