Ambition is partnering with a mid-tier audit firm seeking to hire an Audit Manager for their Central London office. In this role, you will join their corporate audit team, which serves a diverse client base, including SMEs, complex groups, multinationals, and listed businesses. Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors.
- Meet client needs and maximize portfolio fee income by delivering the firm's services, effectively managing resources and workflow.
- Plan, control, and review client work to ensure efficient and effective job completion by allocating available resources.
- Conduct pre-audit meetings with clients, as needed, to discuss impactful events and areas requiring special attention.
- Prepare a time budget for each assignment, ensuring it is set to allow the office to profit, considering fees and non-audit work included.
- Allocate a variety of jobs to trainees to provide broad training and maximize their experience.
- Conduct six-monthly appraisals and sign off training records for all allocated staff, ensuring their development and enhanced effectiveness.
- Complete staff review forms post-job, identifying areas for further development and providing feedback for improved future performance.
- Identify opportunities for additional services the firm can offer clients.
- Target new clients through networking, marketing, and client referrals.
- Undertake ad-hoc project work, including compliance or value-added services.
What We're Looking For:
- ACA ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Experience working at Audit Manager grade in the UK.
- Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship requirements.
- Experience with UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS.
