One of my top law firm clients are looking for an Assistant Tax Manager to join their Finance Tax team in London. The role will work closely with senior tax leadership and provide exposure to a wide range of international tax matters, including global compliance, transfer pricing, permanent establishment issues, and global mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of international tax advisory and project work.
- Support transfer pricing activities, including review and maintenance of master and local files.
- Assist in managing permanent establishment and taxable presence issues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee international tax compliance by coordinating with external advisers and local finance teams.
- Attend project meetings and identify tax implications associated with initiatives such as office openings, closures, and restructures.
- Prepare internal memos, research papers, models, and complex calculations to support senior stakeholders.
- Work with external advisers to resolve tax issues arising during projects.
- Monitor and respond to legislative changes affecting international operations.
- Track global mobility tax implications for individuals and the business, preparing advice for review.
- Collaborate with UK‑based tax colleagues on cross‑border workstreams.
- Act as a key point of contact for partners, finance managers, and business contacts in non‑UK offices.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of tax processes and procedures.
