Ambition is recruiting a Pensions Audit Manager for a highly regarded professional services firm with a strong presence in the pensions market. This role offers the chance to work with a varied portfolio of pension scheme clients while developing leadership, client management and technical expertise in a supportive and progressive environment. Flexible working is encouraged, with a hybrid office/home setup available.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of pension scheme audit clients, reporting directly to a Partner
- Lead statutory pension scheme audits from planning through to completion
- Prepare audit planning, completion and findings reports
- Take responsibility for audit delivery, budgets and deadlines
- Act as the main point of contact for trustees and other stakeholders
- Manage, review and mentor audit teams, supporting their ongoing development
- Ensure audits are delivered in line with professional standards and quality requirements
- Identify value-add insights around governance, risk and controls
- Lead additional pensions assurance and risk management projects, including client liaison and report writing
Skills and experience required
- ACA, ACCA or CA qualified
- Strong audit background with pension scheme audit experience
- Good working knowledge of the Pensions SORP and relevant pensions regulations
- Experience managing audits and supervising junior team members
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines
- Right to work in the UK
