Audit Manager – Listed Clients
Ambition are working with a multi-office mid-tier firm that is looking for an Audit Manager in their Central London office. This is an integral role as you will be working with some of the most senior people in the firm on some of their biggest listed clients.
This role offers the opportunity for quick progression to Senior Manager, making it ideal for experienced managers in Top 10 or challenger firms who are frustrated by the lack of progression. Due to the nature of the client base, step-ups from AM will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review client work to ensure efficient and effective completion by allocating available resources.
- Conduct pre-audit meetings with clients to discuss recent business events and areas needing attention.
- Prepare time budgets for assignments to ensure profitability, considering fees and non-audit work.
- Ensure detailed audit or accounts planning memorandums are completed, highlighting potential anomalies and past difficulties.
- Allocate a variety of jobs to trainees to provide broad training and maximize their experience.
- Conduct 6-monthly appraisals and sign off training records for staff to support their development and effectiveness.
- Complete staff review forms after each job, providing feedback for future improvement.
- Handle day-to-day staff issues, including holidays, courses, conflicts, work quality, motivation, and monitoring chargeable and non-chargeable hours.
Requirements:
- Recent UK audit experience working on a portfolio of listed and high-risk clients.
- Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship requirements.
- Recent UK experience working with corporate audit clients (excluding FS, NFP, and public sector).
