Our client is an ambitious and well-respected independent firm based in London, currently seeking a Partner Designate due to succession planning. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a firm with significant growth plans and play a key role in its future.

This role is ideal for a current Responsible Individual (RI) looking to make the final step to partnership, or an experienced Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director aiming to achieve RI status and progress to partnership. The successful candidate will manage a general practice portfolio with a slight focus on audit. Clients span various sectors, including OMBs, SMEs, and international groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage audit and accounts assignments for a varied portfolio of clients, including SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to clients on financial and business matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying new opportunities and participating in client pitches.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive the firm's strategic objectives and growth plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in audit and accounts management, preferably within an independent or Top 100 firm.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering high-quality services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards and regulations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 101.
  • Experience with IFRS would be beneficial.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to progress to Partner level.
  • Ability to speak French would be useful but is not a requirement.
