This leading international law firm are looking for a Lead Accountant, Europe to join a dynamic Finance team based in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working across multiple disciplines and wants to broaden their expertise beyond traditional financial accounting.

Working closely with senior finance leaders, you will gain exposure to financial reporting, tax, VAT, statutory accounting, compliance, finance transformation initiatives, and international operations across the globe.

What You'll Be Doing as the Lead Accountant Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and supporting analyses.

Investigating and resolving accounting issues and reconciling items.

Producing management reporting and variance analysis for senior finance leadership.

Supporting VAT calculations and filings across multiple European jurisdictions.

Assisting with statutory accounts, tax return preparation, and audit deliverables.

Working with external advisers and auditors across several countries.

Monitoring tax, VAT and statutory compliance requirements and deadlines.

Maintaining accounting records for a number of international offices.

Identifying opportunities to improve controls, processes and reporting.

Supporting Pillar Two reporting activities.

Collaborating with colleagues across offices in Europe and Asia.

Contributing to exciting projects including finance transformation initiatives, system enhancements and new office openings.

About You You will have: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.

Experience within financial accounting, audit, tax, professional services or a similar environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

The confidence to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial systems and reporting tools.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for learning and professional development.
