Ambition are supporting a leading international professional services firm in their search for a talented and motivated Financial Accountant, to join their dynamic finance team based in Liverpool. The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting operational finance across UK and international entities. This is a varied role with exposure to management and statutory accounts, payroll, budgeting and project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including prepayments, accruals and variance analysis
- Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
- Intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet controls
- Payroll journal posting and reconciliations (UK & International)
- VAT returns and support with statutory financial statements
- Budget preparation and reforecasting support
- Supplier and expense payment run reviews
- Liaising with auditors and supporting finance projects as required
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills, including advanced functions
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, adaptable and a strong team player
- Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
