Audit Manager – Financial Services (FCA & CASS Focus)Location: Central London

Are you an experienced Audit Manager with a strong background in FCA-regulated clients and CASS assurance work? Ambition is currently partnering with a well-established accountancy firm that is expanding its financial services audit offering. The RoleAs Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of financial services clients, including FCA-regulated firms requiring statutory audits and CASS assurance. You'll be responsible for managing engagements end-to-end, leading teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. There is flexibility on the portfolio and as well as FS audit you will also have the opportunity to manager corporate audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of financial services audit clients, including CASS assurance work.
  • Plan and allocate staff to engagements, ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Review audit files and highlight key issues to the Responsible Individual.
  • Liaise with clients professionally and proactively.
  • Set budgets, negotiate fees, and manage billing.
  • Monitor progress against budgets and address overruns.
  • Support team development through appraisals and training.
  • Participate in networking and business development activities.
  • Contribute to client growth through referrals and relationship building.

About You:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience in audit within a UK accountancy firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven experience with FCA-regulated audits and CASS assurance.
  • Exposure to Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) 6 and Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) 7, Limited Assurance Report (LAR) and Reasonable Assurance Report (RAR)
  • Exposure to CASS 5 and CASS 15 would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with CaseWare would be beneficial
