I am currently partnering with one of our International Law Firm clients on the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Assistant. This role is a temporary position for a fixed term period of 6 months. My client is looking for someone who is early in their career/at Graduate level, looking for their first role in Legal Finance and eager to learn and grow.
Key responsibilities:
- The timely and accurate posting of all supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate approval and coding in line with firm policy and compliant with VAT regulations.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements against the purchase ledger, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers as appropriate.
- Posting of professional disbursements to client files to enable a timely billing of such.
- Subsequent payment of disbursements in line with the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Processing of staff expenses, ensuring appropriate approvals, accurate coding and a timely reimbursement cycle.
- Reconciliation of office credit cards and all direct debits.
- Ensuring all expenditure is coded, approved and posted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handling general queries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
Education and Experience
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
