Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy and tax advisory firm, is looking for an Accounts Senior to join their team.

From statutory accounts and corporation tax to management accounts and VAT, you'll work across a diverse mix of clients including SMEs and owner-managed businesses, becoming a trusted point of contact and a valued part of an ambitious team.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders to a consistently high standard
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Carrying out day-to-day bookkeeping and preparing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns across a range of VAT schemes
- Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and ensure work is completed accurately and on time
- Supporting the development and training of junior team members
- Delivering excellent client service as standard
- Providing ad-hoc support to managers across the team
What We're Looking For
- AAT qualified, with a minimum of part-qualified ACA or ACCA status
- At least two years' experience working within an accountancy practice
- A working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- A confident communicator xgikmsk with excellent client-facing interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and a diligent, hands-on approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A collaborative team player who is equally capable of working independently
- Nice to Have
- Familiarity with accounting and practice management software such as Sage, Xero, Quick Books, CCH, or Alphatax (any combination is welcomed; full training can be provided)
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships within a practice environment
