Audit Senior in Cheltenham

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded independent accountancy firm in the Southwest, playing a central role in delivering audit and advisory services across a diverse and expanding client base.Based out of the Cheltenham office, you'll manage your own portfolio, work closely with specialist teams, and have genuine scope to develop your career within a firm that invests in its people.What You'll Be Doing

• Take full ownership of a client portfolio, overseeing all aspects of audit, accounts, tax, and business advisory work, including ad hoc project assignments
• Plan and lead audit fieldwork, statutory financial reporting, and completion procedures from start to finish
• Work on-site with clients and act as a trusted day-to-day point of contact for queries and ongoing matters
• Collaborate with the internal tax team to support pre-year-end planning across both corporate and personal tax
• Contribute to specialist corporate finance assignments as they arise

What We're Looking For

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Proven supervisory experience, including the ability to coach, guide, and motivate junior team members
• The ability to see both the broader financial picture and the detail of individual audit balances
• Strong project management skills, including sound decision-making, analytical thinking, time management, and organisational ability

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working within a practice environment on a varied client portfolio
• Exposure to corporate finance or advisory work
