Production Planner 🌍 Manchester, Trafford Park 💰 £35,000 – £38,000 DOE ⏰ Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. 🔧 Your Role Our client based in Trafford Park is looking for a brilliant new team member to join the established team in Trafford Park. The role of the Production Planner is to ensure the smooth running of the production demand by effectively planning within the supply chain and factories. The purpose of the role is to understand demand, plan capacity and ensure all stakeholders are working to a schedule created by the planner. You will liaise with internal and external collaborators to ensure the delivery of the plan and raise any risks that may impact negatively it. This role adds value to the business and your colleagues by ensuring processes happen smoothly, which contributes to organisational success. Your role can add extra value by actively looking for ways to be more effective and efficient for example, by creating or updating Standard Operating Processes to ensure clarity and consistency in how tasks are handled across teams. This enhances operational efficiency and ensures clarity. 🔧 Key Tasks * Plan production and suppliers’ workload and identify risks * Keep schedules updated with clear information. * Ensure all materials are ordered and scheduled in to reduce inventory but also allow production plans to be delivered OTIF (On Time In Full). * Monitor schedule adherence and report back on KPI’s relevant to the role * Seek opportunities to improve the plan and supplier delivery performance * Keep the MRP/ERP system updated * Create Min/Max volumes based on data and product availability 🔧 This role will be a great fit for you if have the following skills and behaviours: * Experience- Previous experience as a Production Planner is required. * Communication – It sounds simple, but communication is at the heart of this role.
