To plan, circulate and manage short to mid term production schedules in line with the company output and production targets. To monitor and provide updates on scheduled output viability. To collate and provide feedback on risks communicated from other departments within the business. To support in the development of a standardised system driven planning process.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Analyse and understand customer and production demand.
- Build short and medium‑term production schedules.
- Daily progress the production plan by facilitating / participating in daily production meetings with production managers.
- Monitor the closing of completed jobs.
- Use the Epicor System to create a plan that cascades down to the machining of engineering components.
- Liaise with the commercial team on workflow / order levels.
- Liaise with the production team to understand progress and risks.
- Provide KPI figures for Senior Management Meetings.
- Cover for other department members.
Epicor Development
- Be a key member of current and future Epicor projects.
- Participate in the continued drive to successfully integrate Epicor into business processes.
- Seek to continuously improve Epicor planning and material processes and master data.
Experience / Qualifications
- Excellent IT skills – including Epicor (or similar) & Excel.
- Good communication and written skills.
- Problem solving.
- Attention to detail.
- Exposure to Lean Principles.
- Team player.
- Understanding of ERP Systems & Principles, Epicor / SAP or other.
