Your Day to day duties in the role:
- You will be involved in the machining of products ready for the next stage of the process.
Experience/Skills and Education Requirements:
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to read engineering quality plans.
- Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment (Micrometres, Verniers etc.).
- Detailed inspection of a wide range of precision components and fabrications in accordance with engineering drawings and written specifications.
- Good organisational skills, record keeping and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative to think through problems to find solutions within agreed guidelines.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to question a process and suggest possible improvements.
Experience:
- Experience in all inspection functions and activities.
- Experience of operating computing equipment for data processes.
- Experience of inspection within the nuclear industry is desired.
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
- Working knowledge of NDE techniques and applications.
- Solid background of technical understanding.
- Quality Engineering.
- Manufacturing Methods and Procedures.
- Supports Innovation.
Hours of work: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks twilight rotation.
Pay rate is skilled level 3, £15.66 per hour on days and additional £5.36 per hour on twilights. The work is on a permanent basis.
