Ambitek are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and qualified Heating Engineer to join their busy and expanding team in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Gas Engineer seeking long-term stability, strong earning potential, flexible working patterns, and a comprehensive benefits package within a supportive and growing organisation.

The Role

As a Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing domestic heating and hot water systems within customer properties. You will ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently while delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair works across domestic properties throughout the region
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with customers and tenants
  • Provide updates on work progress and complete required paperwork both electronically and manually
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH procedures
  • Follow stock ordering and auditing procedures to maintain availability of required parts
  • Participate in an out-of-hours evening and weekend call-out rota

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer
  • Essential gas qualifications:
  • CCN1
  • CENWAT
  • HTR1
  • CKR1
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Professional and friendly approach
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Ability to pass criminal record and reference checks prior to employment
  • Working Hours

    • Flexible working patterns available:
    • Option 1: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week
    • Option 2: 4 days per week 8:00am – 7:00pm, 40 hours per week, Shift enhancement up to £4,160 per annum
    • Option 3: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm, 42.5 hours per week, Shift enhancement up to £2,749 per annum (1-hour lunch break daily plus evening and weekend call-out rota)
