About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Multi-Skilled Stores Person to join our client’s engineering team. This is a long-term role suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on position with plenty of variety. You will be responsible for managing equipment as it moves through the stores—ensuring items are correctly received, inspected, maintained, tested, and prepared for future use. Your work will directly support smooth and safe day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, check, and process equipment returned to stores
- Carry out basic maintenance and safety checks
- Perform PAT testing on a range of equipment (experience preferred)
- Assist with mechanical and electrical tasks as needed
- Maintain stock levels, organisation, and general stores housekeeping
- Prepare and issue equipment for jobs and projects
- Update records accurately and report defects or issues promptly
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in stores, workshop, or hire/returns environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- PAT testing experience (advantageous)
