Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, and pipework, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

  • Fault Diagnosis: Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on mechanical systems to identify and rectify issues promptly.

  • Technical Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate and efficient work.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects on time and to the highest quality standards.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Time-Served Mechanical Fitter: Must have completed a recognized apprenticeship or possess an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Relevant Experience: Extensive experience working on mechanical systems in a water utility or similar environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in working with pumps, valves, and piping systems.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Safety Certifications: Possession of a valid CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS Safety Passport is mandatory.
