About the Role
We are looking for two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our clients modern new facility in Trafford Park. You will be working within an established and supportive team, assembling specialist vehicle equipment. This is a 3-6 month contract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble skip hooks to vehicle chassis following detailed engineering drawings
- Carry out modifications and adjustments as required to ensure correct fit and functionality
- Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation tasks
- Work safely and accurately to meet quality and production standards
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve deadlines and maintain efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical assembly role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with vehicle fitting, chassis assembly, or heavy mechanical systems
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to modify and adapt components where necessary
- Must have own tools
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
Friday: 07:00 - 11:45
Overtime available
Pay Rates
PAYE: £16.00 per hour
Umbrella: £21.00 per hour
