TIG Welder / Fabricator required for a permanent role with a market-leading engineering company. Our client, a well-respected leader in their industry, is seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their production team. This is a full-time role focused on high-quality fabrication and welding, with opportunities to work on a variety of aluminium and sheet metal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish daily tasks and meet production deadlines
- Review and interpret engineering drawings for fabrication/welding
- TIG weld aluminium components
- Fabricate sheet metal parts to precise tolerances
- Ensure production output meets quality and timing requirements
- Use company management systems to log work and maintain records
- Follow company procedures and Health & Safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet customer expectations
- Correctly mark-up component parts for fabrication
- Support the Production Manager with quality checks and obtain sign-off
- Maintain accurate work records to support client handover
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Carry out and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and safety checks
- Liaise with production manager and external engineers to resolve machine issues
- Organise engineer visits where required
- Operate in accordance with RAMS and complete Dynamic Risk Assessments as needed
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder / Fabricator
- Skilled in aluminium welding and sheet metal fabrication
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong attention to quality, detail, and production deadlines
- Team player with good communication skills
- Health & Safety conscious and able to follow procedures
